Day 13 | Florida Trail 18 miles 1/12/18
Today I woke up exhausted feet throbbing everything else hurting. I wake up and tell myself just get up and get walking, all you gotta do is get to walking and so I did.
I cleaned up camp did my morning business and started walking, about 10 miles in I go downhill (I wish, it’s still straight) my feet start hurting again throbbing, having to take 10 minute breaks every hour or so just to let throbbing stop, definitely taking some ibuprofen and I am just going to pass out and start again tomorrow that’s what you have to do to yourself in the end you just have to keep walking, walking to your destination is the most important part.
If I gain anything from hiking the Flroida Trail its just the fact that walking is very important to me even when it hurts!
The trail makes you think your still successful at the end of the 20 mile day or 30 mile day or the crazys who hike more haha. Feeling exhaustion hit and off you go straight to sleep!
It’s incredible to think that just walking has such a huge effect on a person’s well being and life. This is why people enjoy walking, this is why I enjoy walking.
