Day 1 | Florida Trail 10 miles 12/31/17
We made it to 10 Mile camp and I’m exhausted already, the water levels are low but still high and makes walking rather tough.
Walking through water is going to be annoying, it’s not stopping me though, I’m embarking on an adventure that has just hit me and I’m overtaken by happiness, this is what trail life is about making a ugly scene beautiful.
Blazes are easy to see and are guiding well, with cool weather and quiet breeze we can walk without really sweating and I’m enjoying it! Way better weather than back home.
Getting water from cypress domes is a new thing for me too, most Florida hikers know that water follows the domes and I’m just learning that today.
With a early camp tonight I’m going to sleep and gain back some hours for tomorrow.
